Who is this service for?

  This service is for people who are unable to go shopping for themselves or who simply do not have the time. It is ideal for both short term help when coming out of hospital or recovering from illness, or as a longer term solution to help support someone to stay in their own home and be independent.

How to place an order?

 You will be given a printed sheet. The goods are listed under groups, just select as many items as you wish and let us know the quantity/size.

How often is my shopping delivered?

 Your shopping list will be collected from the Retirement Centres, Nursing Homes and Sheltered Accommodation on a weekly basis. However, we can arrange to do your shopping at time and day most convenient to you.

What do I do when my shopping is delivered?

 Our assistants will arrive at your door and will have identification for you to check. They will bring the shopping to your home and will check with you that you have received all the products showed on the till receipt. They will ask you to sign a delivery note as proof of receipt. If you need more assistance our staff will help you to unpack your shopping and store it in your freezer/fridge and cupboards. If you use the service regularly you will soon get to know what a helpful and friendly bunch our staff are.

How do I pay for my shopping?

  The payment is made to our staff on the receipt of the goods. You can pay by cash. Cheque is not accepted for this service.

 Light House Cleaning

Do you provide the cleaning material?

  Yes, we provide the cleaning material and we have our own equipment.

How many cleaners will clean my house?

  The job is normally done by one cleaner. If we need more than one cleaner you will not be charged for that.

Do you have references?

  Yes, we do. All our staff is CRB checked and insured, and our company is part of Age UK Business Directory.

How long does the clean take?

  It takes on average: 1 bedroom flat/house around 1 hour and 15 minutes; 2 bed flat/house around 1 hours and 45 minutes; 3 bed flat/house around 2 hours and 15 minutes; and 4 bed flat/house around 3 hours.

 Courier Service

What kind of items can you deliver?

  We may transport mail, gift, documents, small furniture, luggage ... everything we can certify is not dangerous or illegal. We do not deliver heavy goods. Maximum size (D)700mm x (W)700mm x (H)700mm. Maximum weight 30kg.

If I live 20 miles outside of Oxford City Centre, and I want to send a gift to a friend that lives in Oxford. Can I use your service?

  Yes, you can. The amount of miles will be calculated from your door to the destination. In this example, you will be charged an extra 10 miles.

Could you deliver more than one item?

  Yes, we can.

Do you deliver large items?

  No, we do not. We do not carry items larger than 700mm x 700mm x 700mm, and heavier than 30kg (each).

How long can I take doing my shopping?

  You do not need to worry about time. You can take as long as you need.

Can I invite someone else to come with me?

  You can invite anyone you want. If your friend wants to do their shopping as well he/she will be charged 50% of the standard service price. Up to 2 people can be invited to one single shopping trip.

Can you escort wheelchair users?

  Unfortunately we do not yet have adequate transport for wheelchair users, but we intend to offer this service in the near future.
